What we collect from visitors

Space Kenya does not set cookies. No cross-site tracking identifiers, no third-party advertising scripts, and no fingerprinting run in your browser when you read the site. We do run a cookieless analytics tool (GoatCounter, at spaceke.goatcounter.com) that records anonymous page-view counts and a small set of conversion events (CTA clicks, form submissions). It does not store IP addresses, set cookies, or fingerprint your device.

If you submit the weekly digest form on any page, the email address you supply is stored in our own database on the same server that hosts space.ke. We use it only to send the weekly digest and never share or sell it. Every digest carries a one-click unsubscribe link; you can also write to dpa@spacekenya.com to remove your address at any time.

The lawful basis for processing is your consent, which you give by submitting the form. Subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe, or for two years of inactivity, whichever comes first, after which the row is purged.

Contact form

The form at space.ke/contact does not post data to a Space Kenya server. When you click Compose email, the form fields are assembled into a plaintext brief and handed to your own email client via a mailto: link. We receive an email only if you choose to send it. Nothing is stored on Space Kenya infrastructure at any point in this flow.

If your device has no email client configured, you can use the Copy as text button to copy the brief to your clipboard and paste it into any webmail tool, addressed to projects@spacekenya.com.

Once we receive an enquiry email at projects@spacekenya.com, the information you sent lives in our mailbox for the purpose of replying and any follow-up engagement.

YouTube embeds

Video tours on Space Kenya are loaded via YouTube's privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain, and only after you click a thumbnail (the page does not contact YouTube until then). YouTube applies its own privacy practices to any data collected when you play an embed; Space Kenya has no access to it.

Third parties

We do not sell, share or rent your information to third parties. We do not add anyone to a marketing list without further explicit consent.

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 you have rights of access, correction and deletion in respect of any personal data we hold about you. Because the only place enquiry data lives is our projects@spacekenya.com mailbox, deletion is straightforward: write to dpa@spacekenya.com and we will purge any messages from you within 30 days.
